Merge the existing Facilities Access Task Force and ADA Building-to-Building Committee into the Physical Access Sub-Committee of the DACC.

Restructure the composition of the Accommodation Review Board as defined in the Policy and Procedures For Resolving University 504/ADA Accommodation Disputes such that: Members of the Accommodation Review Board (ARB) are selected from the DACC (Disability Access ad Compliance Committee) by the DACC chair as needed.  All DACC members, except students, are eligible to serve on the ARB. Student members do not serve on the ARB due to the confidentially requirements pertaining to medical documentation. The Vice Provost for Academic Programs and Undergraduate Education shall also participate and serve as the chairperson of the ARB.

The DACC requests the President adopt a university policy clarifying fiscal responsibility for reasonable accommodations when the requested accommodations are not (a) barrier removal or (b) course related accommodations that are the purview of the Disability Resource Center.

Replace the “Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities,” “Office of Judicial Affairs” and “Director of the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities” with “the Dean of Students” wherever it appears in the “Policy and Procedures for Resolving University ADA/504 Accommodation Disputes.”

Add wording (within 10 working days) to the end of the first sentence of the ARB/Hearing Procedures process to read: The chairperson of the ARB upon receipt of the complaint will schedule a meeting of the ARB within 10 working days

Replace the second sentence in the ARB/Hearing Procedures process from:  A quorum shall consist of four (4) voting members, one (1) of whom must be a faculty representative.

To: A quorum shall consist of a majority of the ARB members assigned to the Board.
